Edgar Castillo DAndreis

Edgar Castillo D’Andreis, M.D., is a board-certified oncologist at the Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health, at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. Dr. Castillo specializes in hematology and general oncology, including lung cancer, head and neck cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, skin cancer, prostate cancer and genitourinary care. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Prior to joining Lynn Cancer Institute in 2020, Dr. Castillo was chief of hematology and oncology at the VA Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.

Dr. Castillo’s research has been published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Castillo completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in hematology and oncology at Louisiana State University.

He believes in providing patient-centered care by ensuring he understands each patient’s unique physical, emotional and socialneeds.  

When he is not treating patients, Dr. Castillo enjoys reading Latin American literature, watching movies and soccer games, and going to the beach.
