Dentistry is a branch of medicine that deals with the study, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases and conditions of the oral cavity and it's adjacent areas. Dentists primarily treat tooth decay and gum disease, and offer treatments such as fillings, extractions, scaling and root canals. Cosmetic dentistry procedures aim to enhance the appearance of an individual's smile, and can include veneers, dental implants, crowns, gum grafts and whitening.
