Internist

An Internist is a medical physician who specializes in the prevention, diagnoses, and treatment of both common and complex adult internal diseases. Physicians often call on internists to resolve complicated diagnostic issues. An internist typically works out of their personal practice, but they can also work out of nursing homes, hospitals, and other medical facilities. Internists can also prescribe medications and immunizations.
