She is the founder of a clinical trial center, a medical retinal fellowship, and a retina case conference. A role model and influential mentor, she created Luminaries: Profiles of Women in Academic Medicine, a book of autobiographic vignettes written by 24 colleagues to inspire the next generation of women physicians/scientists.
