Ophthalmologist

An ophthalmologist is a medical professional who specializes in all aspects of vision including the eyes, brain, and eyelids. An ophthalmologist diagnoses, prevents, and treats a variety of eye diseases and condition, and may also be able to identify conditions unrelated to vision including diabetes mellitus and brain tumors. Ophthalmologists differ from optometrists, in that ophthalmologists can perform surgeries.
