When I made the appointment electronically I wrote to Eye Associates of New Mexico that I would like prescription glasses to help with my esotropia, and vision therapy to fix my stereoblindness.

They called back and said "no problem, first you'll go to this doctor for the prescription, and then this other doctor for vision therapy."

I waited three months for the appointment and wasn't there for more than two minutes before the nurse told me that they don't do esotropia here. Esotropia takes glasses with special prisms to hold an eye straight. And they don't do that at that particular Eye Associates of New Mexico building (5757 Harper Drive NE).

They were going to reschedule me for next week at a different Eye Associates of New Mexico building, but I was desperate and told them how reading is my job and if I can't read I'll lose my job. So they got me in at another Eye Associates of New Mexico building later that day.

Now at this Eye Associates of New Mexico (806 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Ave. NE), I was able to get a prescription, but Dr. Frank Durso failed to include prisms. (Not surprising as he performed the fastest, lousiest exam I've ever witnessed.)

The prisms were why I was there in the first place. It's the very reason why the other Eye Associates of New Mexico (5757 Harper Drive NE) couldn't see me.

And I wasn't aware of the error Dr. Frank Durso made because my eyes were dilated and I couldn't read the prescription.

And not only did Dr. Frank Durso fail to give me the correct prescription, he flat out refused to give me a referral for vision therapy because he doesn't believe it works on adults.

I told him about the books I've read like "Fixing My Gaze" by Susan Barry, a 50-year-old woman's personal account of gaining stereovision using vision therapy. He was completely dismissive, rude and refused to even give me a referral.
