Don't bother with this psychiatrist. She's not concerned about the wellbeing of her patients.

Fantastic care every step of the way showing concern, providing new educational suggestions and offering a multiple real solutions to help address your personal problems and needs. Her Medical "bedside manner" is outstanding to say the least. I've got to say she played a big part in saving my life after a life threating psych hospital disaster took place. She was there for me even when I no longer looked like I normally did, She took every single the steps to get me well again. I am so thankful for her. She is my my angle. I wish I could get in touch with her office just for some medical records. Sad to see her go.

Pinky was never on time for appointments. I would sit and wait for my morning appointment and watch her walk in from outside 30-45 min after my appt time. My appts got cancelled frequently because she was "sick". One time I was in my car on my way to the office when it got cancelled. I had taken time off from work for it. I frequently had trouble getting my prescriptions refilled. It was blamed on the pharmacy but I would stand at the pharmacy and watch them fax the request after Pinky's office said they didn't receive it. At one point I ended up having withdrawal symptoms from one of my meds because it was so long in between my last pill and getting my refill. It put my health in danger and I have contemplated reporting her to the board of nursing for it. My insurance was billed for two separate services - medicine management and therapy - I wasn't getting any therapy. I would answer her questions but it wasn't therapy. It also said on the EOB that the therapy was 45 min. My appts usually didn't last much longer than 15 min. I would consider this insurance fraud and may report this also. If you value your mental health, don't go here. The anxiety that she caused me by having late/missed appts and not refilling my meds in a timely manner was more than the benefit of going there. I was a patient for more than 2 years and am so happy I am not going there any longer

After reading some of these reviews, I have to laugh. Pinky and Martha are fantastic. People complain and post reviews, but they never post positive reviews. Although I wish they had a few more staff members on hand, I do understand this is a small business. Martha does an exceptional job. She does everything she can to explain things to the patients. Yea you have to usually leave a vm but she calls people back as soon as she can. She is always kind and courteous. Pinky is the most attentive nurse I've ever met. She spends more time with patients than any other provider i have ever seen. They both make sure to listen to all of my input and concerns and always make me feel respected and important. Whenever I've had an emergency I've always been able to count on them to be available. As previously stated, yes i have had to leave a voicemail, but the call is ALWAYS returned. Other patients don't seem to understand that they only have a couple of people at that business. They work hard to meet the needs of their patients. It might take a little time and patience, but they always take care of whatever i need. I never have to worry that they'll be too busy to help me. They are one of the most respectful, professional practices i have been to. They go out of their way to make every patient feel important. I have had to wait at appointment times, but really that is with every doctor i see. I have been going to different doctors for a long time so i get how these things work. Pinky and her office manager Martha try their best to do what is right by the patients. Other patients need to try and understand that.

They definitely weren't easy to reach in an emergency. I had to call several times before someone finally took my call. Most of the time I was with them, I felt very ignored. Once I was waiting for over 30 minutes past my appointment and when I finally got in, Pinky was just finishing fixing her hair. WHILE I WAITED!!!!! They rarely listened to any of my input or concerns. I would never in a million years recommend them to anyone I know. I couldn't believe how unprofessional they were. My back started to hurt while I was waiting. They never take that extra step to make me feel special. I haven't ever felt that they care enough to get to know me and that I'm almost an irritation. Pinky repeatedly cancels on me for one reason or another, then won't phone in a refill. Sorry Pinky, but L believe your psychiatric issues are much bigger than mine. She is only a nurse prac and supposedly is being overseen by someone, but he must be as bad as her.

Afshin and Martha are good people. They have life issues that come up and that sometimes mean appointments are cancelled or pushed back. Still, they are cordial and try their best to assist with questions, paperwork, and medication requests. There are times when I've felt passed over or unimportant. It did make me want to find another doctor, but just as I am not always at my best 365 days a year, I cannot fault my doctor and her staff for having their off days. I respect Afshin's recommendations for therapy and medications. She has a growing practice and getting an appointment can be hard. Still, she does what she can to fit everyone in. If I won the lottery tomorrow and could afford to see any provider I wanted to, I would still choose Afshin.
