I first went to Dr. Pape because of friends who had credited him with saving their marriage and helping with very significant challenges in their lives. I agree. I appreciated his interest in rigorous testing before analyzing, diagnosing, and treating. I appreciated his theological views and the understanding he promotes in how beliefs trigger behavior. His teaching was practical, demanding, and I'll continue to refer him.

He helped us work on our individual issues in a straightforward and organized manner. My husband and I were able to learn more about ourselves and strategies of how to communicate better with one another. It has helped not only our marriage but parenting styles as well.

I felt scolded and lectured. He seemed knowledgeable, but seemed to lack compassion.
