Dr. Key is a nice enough fellow and he's got years of experience. I certainly liked him as a person. BUT there were some serious issues that cropped up over the course of several years bringing my dog to him. I'll start with the worst incident. My dog's kidneys started to fail so I brought him in for tests. As would often happen I'd set an appointment to see Dr. Key and when I got there Dr. Kemp would come walking in. I never felt comfortable with Dr. Kemp as a vet. And in this case he completely missed very obvious symptoms and came up with a diagnosis that related to a condition that's not immediately life threatening. This didn't match with my dog's rapidly deteriorating condition. I asked Dr. Key if he agreed with Kemp's diagnosis. He said yes he agreed. So I wanted a second opinion. Before I was even able to get an appointment with another vet my dog woke us up at 4am with labored breathing and he was barely able to sit up. We rushed him to an emergency clinic and the only thing they could do was put him down. It was heartbreaking to know I had wasted valuable time at Key Animal Clinic. He wasn't being treated for kidney failure at all. And in fact the meds they gave him likely made his condition worse. I found a new vet for my surviving dog and as a test I listed the symptoms my dog had when I took him to Key Animal Clinic. Their initial thoughts? Kidney failure without any hesitation. There were other things that would happen at Key Animal Clinic like they would give my dog shots or medications that would cause him to frequently urinate and not warn me in advance. So within a few hours I'd have puddles all over my house. Something Dr. Key did that never set well with me is he would push on an infected area of my dogs spine that was extremely fragile until my dog would try to bite him. There was absolutely no medical reason for him doing this. At one point Dr. Key said my dog had a thyroid condition and wanted him on a thyroid medication for the rest of his life. I looked into it and found out there is no possible way to conclude my dog had that particular thyroid condition without extensive testing. Dr. Key had done no tests whatsoever. That should have been my clue to find another vet.

They went out of their way to make me feel special and respected, and were very sympathetic to my situation. I've never seen more kindness and empathy anywhere else. Wow is all I can say about them. I have seen some vets become callused and unemotional but you will not find that here. The veterinarian and staff are extremely friendly and treat pets as if they are a part of the family. I could really tell how much they love animals. They are so kind and caring, and they stay open way past their closing time to help anyone who needs them. They wouldn't deny anyone that needed help. I know I can always count on them. The staff here goes above and beyond to make my pet and me feel at home. They are the friendliest people! They always go above and beyond to help me with anything I need. They never complain about anything, and I know I can always count on them.

I knew I was getting top-of-the-line treatment when they told me about what they learned at the latest conference they attended, and how they were incorporating that knowledge into the practice. Not only were they able to provide everything they promised me, they went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. They're always able to answer simple questions over the phone. They only make me schedule appointments if necessary. They always go above and beyond to help me with anything I need. They never complain about anything, and I know I can always count on them.

Never, they are very reliable.

Absolutely not! I was never uncomfortable

Definitely! I saw it as soon as I walked in!
Did this provider ever take personal phone calls while in the appointment room with you?
He/she would never do that! Their full attention is always on me.
Has this veterinarian ever misdiagnosed your pet?
Never, my pets have enjoyed healthy and long lives thanks to their care.

Their prices were very fair. The level of care you get for the price is outstanding. Their staff is very friendly and professional. Their office was well organized and clean. I could tell they took a lot of time making sure it was presentable.
