Dr. Barnard is a nice doctor. What I don't understand is no matter what you go in to see him for, he makes you take off your shirt. This is very uncomfortable for me, and I'm sure other women. I have since asked to see a different doctor in this office and have not had to disrobe at all. I won't be seeing Dr. Barnard again.

After reading the reviews about Dr. Barnard, I was looking forward to scheduling an appointment. I called to set up a routine physical exam based on some concerns I had. The receptionist stated 'yes, we are accepting new patients' and confirmed my insurance company. She then asked what I needed to be seen for, and when I said a physical, I was told 'we are not taking new patients for physicals'. Hmmmm, I politely said thank you and hung up. Feeling like maybe this a general practice that I may run into with other doctors, I called back for clarification. I was told that they do not run first appointments for physicals because of the time it requires and that it had become a problem in their office. However, I could make an appointment for a sick reason and then schedule a second appointment for a physical. To me, this doesn't seem to alleviate the time concern....however, I do understand that my insurance will be billed twice....so benefit to Dr. Barnard, inconvenience to the patient.....borderline insurance fraud????
