We waited 3 months for our appointment. While I was parking a very large truck and was 2 mins late due to parking that very large truck (in a small parking lot) an office woman comes out and says, "your late, you will have to reschedule."
In January I scheduled an appointment again and yesterday was called to be told the dentist couldn't make it in. (Salem didn't appear to have any snow in the first place.)
I notified them that my daughter can't chew on one side of her mouth back in January and yet still this morning they call me to tell me that, "Our dentist doesn't think your kids will be a good fit for our office"
Well maybe if the dentist met my 16&17 year old that dentist would realize that my kids are polite and kind.
I would recommend going to see a different dentist that actually cares.

Worst dentist I have ever encountered. Dr Li didn't know professional dentistry AT ALL! No radiation blanket was used for my 16 X-rays, he tried to drill out a cavity with no pain numbing medication, he attempted to numb the area not once but twice and failed to insert the needle in the correct area of the jaw. My tounge was more numb than the tooth he was trying to go for. Both times he caused a LOT of PAIN. I'm not even going to go into how he dismissed my cracked filing which I wanted fixed but he ignored. According to him my teeth were in perfect shape. There is not enough time to tell you about the rest of the HORRORS. This guy needs his license taken. Besides the receptionist, the staff were unprofessional.
In the end I didn't even get my teeth cleaned remotely closes to half right. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! Stay away from this FAKE dentist. You may end up with more dental problems.
Thankfully I am going to see a professional dentist next week.

The customer service here was horrible and the office manager was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered, literally admitted she was too lazy to do her job. Not worth going here.

The dental care is average, nothing particularly bad, but I have had better care and customer service at all of my previous providers. If not for his billing practice, I would give him an average rating. However, Dr. Li Biao has arguably discriminatory billing practices.

Having aged out of my parents’ insurance, I enrolled in the Oregon Health Plan (OHP), and had to change dentists quickly, in order to deal with 2 cavities my former dentist had told me I had. Salem Heights Dental appeared accommodating, and I scheduled an appointment. During my appointment, I was informed I had 3 cavities. I wanted to fix the situation as soon as possible. Under OHP, the rules state that the plan will cover the amalgam (silver-colored) fillings in full, and covers composite (tooth colored) fillings at the amalgam rate. Dr. Li Biao refused to bill the insurer, and his office manager told me I would have to pay out of pocket the full price of the resin (over $700). He is taking advantage of people who do not have the funds for comprehensive dental insurance. If a medical provider receives federal funding (Medicaid money), they do not have the option to bill patients out-of-pocket for services covered under Medicaid. I certainly do not have the money to pay over $700. When I involved the insurance provider, his office dropped me from their care.

While the amalgam fillings would medically take care of the cavity issue, I am studying for a profession where appearance matters, and a mouth full of metal could, sadly, negatively affect other people’s perceptions of me and, by extension, my clients. Dr. Biao would have been compensated for the fillings. I am left with the impression that he values his low-income patients less than his wealthier patients, even though he gets paid no matter the tax-bracket of his patient. For that, I would recommend a better and kinder dentist.

This place is very easy to get into. But I feel that they don't give you the level of service you deserve. I have never had problem with my teeth till I went to Salem Heights Dental. I went the other day for an appointment, well lets say things were dirty. Doctor then used gloves to look in my mouth. Walked away to rub a co-workers back, to come back without washing hands to put on same gloves. GROSS! This is not a place I would recommend for anyone. Do your research, go and visit before making your final decision on getting dental work done here.
