This is one of the most bizarre experiences I have ever had with a professional in the same field that I work in.

I went to Dr. Lombardo in the fall of 2012, on the recommendation of a friend. I had a breast augmentation.

I actually had put an earlier review on Vitals, because of my dissatisfaction with the original augmentation. I knew there was something wrong, appealed to his medical side, was told to wait it out. However, in the meanwhile, I was also asked to please remove my review by his office staff, over several phone calls..
I feel I was Almost bullied into it.

I removed my previous review, as was asked of me by his staff, and worked on reestablishing my relationship and trust with Dr. Lombardo, in hopes of a resolution.

After several visits to his office, over a 10 month period, and finally feeling like I could trust him again, and after what I feel were harassing calls from his office to remove my prior review, we scheduled revision surgery for October 2013, 11 months after my original surgery.

Please note that when he finally measured the difference in the breasts, left to right, there was a 2 cm difference, which, when he referred back to my chart, and I did see it written, it clearly said "2 cm" difference.

Two days before my revision surgery to correct what was initially a 2 cm placement difference, I got a call from his office, stating, " The Dr. is not comfortable performing your surgery with the two new reviews you have written on the internet about him". I was shocked. Not only had I NOT written any reviews about him since the original one, but I had worked very hard and long to rebuild my trust in him to be able to trust him enough to go under the knife yet again at his hands...would someone really allow a surgeon to treat them if they were still unhappy with them? Also, the reviews were posted prior to my original surgery date I believe.

Needless to say, I was appalled with the phone call, absolutely mortified.

Never, EVER, in my own medical personal professional career ,have I interacted with a Doctor that reacted like this to a post (s) out there on the internet, that he could not possibly ever ascertain was mine, but in his paranoia he assumed it was mine, and totally destroyed not only a patient / Dr. relationship, but a professional relationship as well..
Needless to say, the surgery was, indeed , cancelled.

Over a few conversations with his office staff, I did state that I was uncomfortable with him doing the surgery, and was told again , that he was, as well, I then stated that I thought I should cancel it, and was told that that was what the Dr. wanted to do anyway.

Again, being totally mortified with the entire situation, I asked the office staff why the Dr. had not called me himself, and told the staff how unprofessional and unethical this was.

The Dr. called me back, 36 hours prior to when my revision surgery was initially scheduled, stating that he and his wife had seen some reviews on the internet, and ASSUMED they were from me, even though the entire review was clearly from a patient that had had surgery YEARS ago, because she stated it took her YEARS to recover from his surgeries, yet he was so paranoid that he thought it was me, and felt so uncomfortable, going on an assumption, that he had his staff call me, which resulted in a cancellation of a surgery that was originally performed improperly, by "2 cm".

This surgeon seems to be more concerned with what is written about him on the internet, then his patients happiness and well being.
By the end of our conversation, which was totally bizarre, The Dr. told me he believed me that I did not write those reviews and would do my surgery...are you kidding me? I told him I was simply to weirded out to allow him to perform the surgery.

This behavior from a Physician is not ethical nor is it sane, and he has left out here a patient that trusted him with her surgery, and is now left to pursue other remedies with different surgeons to correct what he should have corrected....

And no, Dr. Lomabardo's office Staff,, I will not remove this post.
