Very caring doctor. Performs excisions in a manner that lend to minimal or no scaring. Excellent bedside manner.

I was referred to Dr. Morello from a friend who was a long time patient. I called and spoke to Carolyn to set up an appointment and was able to be seen that same week. I found that the office was conveniently located with plenty of parking. What I also liked about the office is the ambiance. The office has a very fun vibe that is warm and inviting with old advertisement signs, movie posters etc. Took a few minutes to see the doctor but when Dr. Morello came in I found him to be very thorough, and approachable, To say the least I'm very pleased with Dr. Morello. I had been searching forever to try and find a quality dermatologist in Jacksonville and am very thankful to find Dr. Morello.

I friend of mine recommended Dr. Morello. His office was able to schedule my appointment in the same week I called. Dr. Morello was thorough and took the time answering all my questions, and explained all my treatment options. I was very pleased with the results. I like his office decor. The 1930s and 1940s art and posters, especially the World War II posters, are my favorites, because my husband is a veteran. I highly recommend Dr. Morello to my family and friends.

Front Office Staff (EBONY)= TERRIBLE. Made a new patient appt for a Saturday morning at ten am. Ebony, from Dr. Morello's office, called me Friday morning to confirm my appointment and to tell me that she would be calling my insurance company to confirm my benefits. She also said "If there is a problem with your insurance, I will call you back today and let you know. If there is not a problem with your insurance, I will not call you back today and we will see you in the morning for your appointment at ten." No call received from Ebony the rest of the day- fast forward to the next morning. Make several stops dropping my children off on the way to my new patient appt with Dr. Morello, arrive at 9:45 and begin filling out paperwork. Ebony calls me to the front window to inform me that she didn't call for benefits yesterday and now it is Saturday morning and she CANNOT get my benefits because the insurance company is CLOSED ON SATURDAYS! I am further informed by Ebony that I will be expected to pay for my visit in full today and I am welcome to submit the statement to the insurance to be reimbursed. Really, Ebony? You said you were calling the insurance company yesterday and you would let me know if there was a problem. She now tells me she left at 1 yesterday and didn't call. I left the office at this point and will not be rescheduling. No idea if Dr. Morello is a decent dermatologist but I do know he needs to find a front office desk assistant that DOES HER JOB CORRECTLY. Ebony cost Dr. Morello at least one patient. I called this morning to inform the office manager of this issue, Ebony answers and tells me "Ummm….The office manager this week is...I guess you want Yang. You want to leave a message? She doesn't have a voice mail." I ask when Yang is expected to be back in the office and Ebony tell me "Not anytime this week."- I did not leave a message for this week's office manager, Yang, as she is not in this week. Very poor office staff and I can't even make it in the door to see the doctor, or complain to a human being.

They left me alone in the appointment room for quite a while. I was given a polite greeting when I walked in. There was lots of available parking at their office. Their office was clean enough, nothing special though. The doctor was very curt and acted like he was in a hurry to get my services over with...I felt like I couldn't ask any questions-he just put some paperwork on my purse and said the answers to my questions were in them!! Talk about a terrible bed side manner--I'll never go back to Dr. Morello again. And-- I was charged $213.00 for about 5-10 minutes total of his time he spent in freezing off a few moles....The nurse insisted that my BCBS insurance info on her computer said that I had not met my deductible so I needed to pay the entire amount up front..I've never known an office to proceed like this when you provide insurance info..usually they go thru the correct channels and try to file the claim first before billing a patient!!!! Do not go to Atlantic Blvd Dermatology for your services...I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!!!
