Run Away! They almost killed my child. They do not keep[ track of test results and this ended up putting my child in the hospital for 10 days. Wait times were always 40 minutes plus and the billing department is a nightmare. They collect money beyond the EOB.
Find a practice that has time to care for your child not rush you in out and collect the money.

Our first visit was good. My son has had sinus troubles since he was an infant and Dr Cohen diagnosed him with allergies after looking in his nostrils and seeing how inflamed they were. He prescribed him a nasal spray to take daily. The past pediatritians I have taken my son to always gave him an allergy shot and prescribed Claritin. Dr Cohen's method proved to be the most successful. I no longer give my son the spray daily, but as needed. My son no longer has a constant runny nose and I have even noticed that he rarely gets sick anymore. The second time I went to the office was merely to drop off paperwork that needs to be filled out for the school. The staff was neither overly pleasant or rude, just polite. I did ask them to fax over the paperwork to the school and then mail me the form so that I wouldn't have to drive back a few days later to pick it up being that I am disabled with a severe back injury. They were polite in saying they would accomodate my needs, however that was a few weeks ago and I've yet to receive the form by mail. This concerns me, especially since prior to dropping off the form, they advised me that such paperwork has a 24-48 hour turnaround time. I will be calling to inquire later today, as my son should be starting school mid August and the paperwork is required within weeks of startup. The waiting area isn't the most child friendly, being that their is a lack of activities to entertain or distract an impatient child. But being that our son is a little more mild tempered than some children, these are not qualities we look for when seeking a Pediatritian for our family. I would also like to see a separate waiting area/entrance for the children who are sick, but those flaws (so to speak) in the office are not deal breakers for us. All in all, I was satisfied with the treatment we received and would recommend Dr Cohen to family/friends. I would also like to share a moment that did seem awkward. It was right around Christmas, and upon leaving I had remembered Dr Cohen had offered to write our prescription instead of faxing/e-faxing to our pharmacy since we had just moved to the area and I wasn't sure which pharmacy we would be using. When I approached the staff they then had to find Dr Cohen and he came to the front and had to ask me what exactly he had wanted to prescribe. Now I know he was probably already in with another patient since it took a few minutes for him to come to the front of the office, but I thought it was strange he had forgotten so quickly. I felt he kind of gave me a questionable look, but he proceeded to write the prescription. Upon handing it to me I smiled and thanked him and said Merry Christmas. There was an uncomfortable silence and the staff member standing in front of him facing me kind of turned to look at him and just gave what seemed to me an unsure smile. I took it as she wasn't sure how to respond since he was there. And the Dr glanced at me briefly and said not a word or even offered a smile. You know that look over the glasses, kind of like, yes, ok, kind of look. I just walked away thinking, how dumb of me, he's probably Jewish or something. Duh...Again, this is just an awkward moment to share. I don't think it affects the treatment our son will receive from Dr Cohen, but maybe some people really enjoy the holidays and wouldn't like to feel the awkwardness I felt at that moment and would appreciate such an insightful and honest review.
