I have been seeing Dr. Marinelli for 3 years. The first year he was attentive and compassionate. The last year all 3 visits he seemed pre-occupied. He took an ultrasound for kidney stones and an x-ray and told me I had no kidney stones even though I was in great discomfort. One month later I ended up in the emergency room and they took a cat scan that revealed I had a stone on the right side. I explained to the ER doctor what tests I had done and he said he would be quite surprised if I didn't have one. As a urologist, he didn't pay any attention to it. I wanted to ask him a question and he was out the door. I won't be back.

Months ago I went to see Dr. Alavi in Marinelli & Feldman office. His young nurse is HORRIBLE, she lacks compassion. She is arrogant, rude, she did everything possible to try and humiliation and embarrass me. She disclosed confidential medical information about my illness and treatment within hearing range of other staff members and patients. She has few or no people skills. She has no regard for your dignity or privacy. I will not be going back, ever. She violated the federal HIPAA privacy laws. Dr. Alavi, Marinelli & Feldman staff needs to be retrained on the HIPPA privacy laws and this nurse need to be reprimanded or fired. The 3 doctors need to re-evaluate office procedures and staff performance.

They had a huge selection of magazines in the waiting room. I was able to find some of my favorites and they kept me entertained while I was waiting for my appointment. Their primary concern is my safety and comfort, and they always take the time to address every concern of mine immediately. They always make sure to return my phone call as soon as possible. They've never left me waiting. I'm going to recommend them to everyone I know. They were very understanding and respectful.

Dr. Marinelli lacks compassion and has no patience with grown women whose pain and discomfort thresholds are low (with regard to uncomfortable tests). If you are at all anxious about having a catheter jammed up your urethera, this is not the doctor for you. He will not show any interest in helping you overcome your fear or discuss the procedure with you at any length, especially if you call over the telephone. Most of the time you will be with his nurses. Be prepared if you are a fusser, like me, to be scolded, berated, or belittled by Dr. Marinelli, who will tell you that you are the only one who has ever responded "that way." Not a nice man. Shame on him. If you look closely at his background, you will see that the medical institution he attended has only one star. I guess they left out education on patient-doctor communication or how to reassure a nervous patient.

They were kind of friendly, but I wasn't very impressed. I felt like my needs were mostly met, but they didn't make any extra effort. They are always polite and never use foul language, which I really appreciate. It's always made me uncomfortable at other places when I've heard them use foul language, but they don't here. I know I can bring my kids, and not worry about it. I was happy that I got in for a follow-up appointment because it helped a lot. However, had I not made the appointment, there never would have been one. It would've been nice if they would have recommended one. Their office was a little too loud. It wasn't unbearably loud but it was starting to hurt my ears.
