Stay away. Stay far, far away. This man was my oncologist. He claims to be a "complementary" onco, but he's conventional right down the line. I reluctantly agreed to take the white cell-boosting shots, although I had read bad things about them. The day the New York Times ran a front page story in which the president of the American Cancer Society called these shots "Miracle-gro for cancer," I called Pushkas with concern. His answer? "You're okay today, aren't you?" The last time I saw Pushkas he said, "You look marvelous, you look 35. You can go out and have as much sex as you want. Of course, no one wants a relationship with a 52--year-old woman." Giving one star to get this published, but this man belongs in prison.
They really go above and beyond in making me feel valued and important. I have to say this is one of the friendliest and most welcoming offices I've ever visited. I didn't experience any unnecessary pain during my visit, and I was amazed at how much better I felt after I left. Their staff was not that friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. When comparing them to others I have visited for the same condition, they are among the best I have seen. They are an absolute expert in the field. I would never feel unsafe or apprehensive in their care. Dr. Pushkas is the best!
