Richard E. McCarthy, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon with Norton Children’s Orthopedics of Louisville, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine. Dr. McCarthy earned his medical degree from the State University of New York at Brooklyn College of Medicine. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Boston Medical Center, and residencies in general surgery at Tufts Medical Center, and orthopedic surgery at Harvard Medical School, all in Boston, Massachusetts.
