As long as she can remember, Starnes wanted to be a nurse, but her time spent as an Army medic in Iraq left her with the desire to do more.
“The skills and experience that I encountered during that time really cemented my desire to go to school for nursing and reach for a higher goal of one day becoming a nurse practitioner,” she said.
