Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I have always known that I wanted to help people. I didn't discover how I wanted to help people till my late teenage years when I began to notice the disparities in health care that existed in my home country of Ghana, especially for women. Women's health came naturally to me. From personal experience, family stories, community encounters, I knew that I wanted to make an impact in the life of every woman I encountered. For my interest and abilities, medicine afforded me that opportunity. Medicine has been a difficult journey but the encounters I have made it all worth it. What I want my patients to know about me: I was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa. Official language is English.
