Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: When I was in high school, I wanted to be a small or large animal veterinarian, until I realized that I had terrible allergies to cats and to hay! I chose pediatrics as a career because I like working with children and enjoy following them clinically as they grow up from infancy to adulthood. What I want my patients to know about me: I always strive to be as thorough as possible when evaluating patients. I also want to make doctor visits as pleasant as possible. I am interested in knowing about my school-aged patients' other interests such as sports, musical talents, hobbies, etc. I like learning where people are from if they are new to the area.
