Having served as an orthopedic surgeon in the United States Army, Dr. Javernick has combat casualty care experience, including complex reconstruction and rehabilitation. He served two tours in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom as well as temporary duties during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
During his military experience, Dr. Javernick was awarded many medals of honor for his service. He held positions including vice president of the Walter Reed Army Medical Center Internship Class and Chief of several orthopaedic surgery departments.
Dr. Javernick has served as an orthopedic sports consultant for the World Class Athlete program for the Army, and was previously assistant orthopaedic sports surgeon for both Denver University and the University of Colorado.

Dr. Matthew Javernick is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip, knee, and shoulder surgery. He performs total joint replacements as well as arthroscopic joint reconstruction.
