Margie Lewitt, Social Worker/Therapist
Margie ascribes to the notion that individuals are the center of their own healing. As a compassionate active listener with a passion for healing and increased quality of life, Margie provides the effective environment and knowledge for clients to reach their self determined goals.
Close relationships can bring strength but can also create conflict, anxiety and/or depression. Through the stages of development, ranging from birth to death,we experience a myriad of relationships which are ever changing and growing. Margie works with situations that span from increasing the quality of existing relationships to divorce therapy to grief and loss. Divorce for example presents an assortment of experiences including emotional disruption as well as financial adjustments that can cause stress and distraction away from making informed decisions that affect the lives of the members of the family. Margie understands the significance of receiving education, validation, guidance, support, and reflection in a safe space to sort out details and decisions. Divorce therapy can reduce the suffering of an already disorienting and dysregulating event.
Whether we are experiencing disruption and change within ourselves or in interpersonal relationships struggling to identify goals and direction, these can result in depression and anxiety, low self confidence, and worry. Adolescents and adults alike have presented with physical discomfort, low self esteem, even PTSD, as well as thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that get in the way of making positive decisions. Each individual has strengths and skills that are not always apparent when life presents challenges. Margie will be an advocate for your health and well being.
