All About Children Pediatric Partners, PC

Our professional health care team is committed to provide state of the art pediatric health & preventive care for children, young adults, and children with special abilities and their families, regardless of life situation or challenges.

We participate in ongoing innovation and quality improvement initiatives of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Pennsylvania Chapter of the AAP Medical Home Project, and the Pennsylvania Governor's Chronic Care Initiative. Additionally, we are applying for our NCQA Patient Centered Care-Medical Home Level Three Certification, and are preparing to qualify for the Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services Medical Assistance Incentive.

Valuing and building on parent/patient opinions enables us to tailor solutions to family needs, cultural and privacy concerns.

Informed staff work with families to provide useful, accurate information in a caring and genuinely concerned manner and answer parent/patient questions/concerns.

Using the concepts above, we work with families to maximize the health and potential of their children and young adults.

We are on the active staff of The Reading Hospital Medical Center and St Joseph’s Medical Center, Reading to care for our newborn patients.

Your questions, comments, and suggestions are welcomed.

Appointments

All visits are by appointment, including sick visits. Call early in the day to schedule a same day appointment for your sick child.

Staff are available from 7 am to 6 pm to answer your calls to schedule appointments.

Appointments for routine check-ups should be scheduled at least 4-8 weeks in advance. To cancel or reschedule, please call at least 24 hours before the appointment.
Always bring to every visit:

1) Your child's immunization records
2) All medications your child is taking
3) Your child's insurance card

Special appointments may be requested for discussion of complicated problems.

We respect and value your time. We try to stay on schedule. You may call ahead to be advised if unavoidable delays or emergencies have occurred which may delay your appointment.

As you leave the office, the receptionist will schedule your next appointment. Please
help them find the time most convenient for you.

To obtain the best possible care please tell the receptionist the name of your preferred physician or nurse practitioner so that they can schedule your child's appointment with them.

Telephone Calls

For non-emergency questions, please call us between 7:30 - 8:30 a.m 7 days a week. We are available by phone for emergency situations 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

When you call, please give your child's name, age, exact symptom, and temperature.

Also have available the telephone number of your local pharmacy, and a pencil and paper.

During office hours, our staff members will answer your questions and direct you to
helpful resources. If you are calling about an emergency, please tell the receptionist so that you can be directed to the physician or nurse practitioner immediately.

Please call during regular office hours for test results. Be sure that we have your correct phone number so that we can call you concerning abnormal test results and upcoming appointments.

Please provide us with cell phone numbers and e-mail addresses if you have them.

Prescriptions

Please complete refill requests online or call during office hours for prescription refills.

Have the pharmacy phone number available. Please allow 24 hours (Monday through Friday only) for completion of your prescription refill.

Confidentiality

Please advise us of any situations needing special attention.

Privacy Policy

We need written authorization from you anytime information is needed by a third party (i.e., another physician, lawyer, insurance company, etc.). We will not release information to anyone other than parents/legal guardians without your permission.

Referrals

We are willing to coordinate your child's medical care and help you select competent specialists. Most follow-up care can be provided in our office to save you long trips.

Please call us before going to a specialist so that we can provide you with the best possible care for your child.

When you have a specialist appointment (with anyone outside our office except ob-gyn and dentist and for glasses), please call us at least 48 hours in advance to obtain a referral. It is very difficult for us to provide these on the day of your visit to the specialist (although we know that sometimes emergencies happen and will accommodate those)!
