About

Lee Truesdell

Lee Truesdell is nationally certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and maintains state and local licensure. She received her initial training at Heartwood Institute in northern California where she studied massage, acupressure, shiatsu, Chinese Medicine, and whole foods nutrition. She established Morning Glory Massage and Healing Arts in 2005 and delights in sharing her work with anyone seeking to gain greater levels of health, happiness, and wellbeing.

The foundation of Lee's work is a recognition of the body's inherent ability to heal itself; she believes deeply in the healing power of relaxation and pleasure. When one is experiencing pain or discomfort, often what is needed is to simply remind the body that it knows what to do and give it permission to do so by helping mind and body to deeply relax. In addition to the work done during sessions Lee offers education, encouragement, and support for those wishing to deepen their health and well-being through stretching, self-acupressure, general body awareness, diet, and natural foods cooking.

Lee's studio is located in the Healing Arts Center in the heart of downtown Moab (adjacent to the Visitor Center) at 50 East Center Street, Studio 6. Whether your goal is to pamper yourself, release pain and tension, or facilitate healing, Lee invites you to enjoy caring, professional bodywork in a relaxed and peaceful setting.

Services Depending on your goals and desires a specific modality or a combination of those described below may be ideal. On your first visit we will do a complete intake to create a session tailored to your specific needs and goals.

Swedish Massage
Classic massage designed to soothe, pamper, and relax - ideal for anyone experiencing muscle pain or tension. Long gliding strokes with massage cream are used on bare skin to release muscle pain and tension, improve circulation, and soothe the nervous system. Light to deep pressure can be used according to client preference.

Shiatsu
A pleasant, whole-body relaxation experience particularly effective for those seeking relief from chronic health imbalances. Gentle but firm compression and stretching combine to help relax the nervous system and balance and realign the whole body. Shiatsu is given on a comfortable massage table with the client fully clothed. It is particularly recommended for chronic neck, shoulder, low-back & knee pain; headaches & migraines; digestive imbalances; nervous tension, insomnia, anxiety, & depression.

Acupressure
Deep healing using finger pressure ideal for those wanting to take healing literally into their own hands. Acupressure is a hands-on healing modality with thousands of years of proven effectiveness at preventing and alleviating many health concerns. In this work the client is taught and encouraged to use self-acupressure techniques between sessions to facilitate and speed healing.

Foot Reflexology

Relaxing, revitalizing work focused on the feet-recommended especially for those new to or shy about massage and bodywork. Foot reflexology also has been used for thousands of years to relieve and heal a wide variety of health imbalances, as well as maintain health and wellbeing. This work focuses on the feet but helps to relax and revitalize the whole body.

Chair Massage
Chair massage is an ideal way to provide a massage experience in a public setting, such as an office or business promotional event. A great way to reward your employees and encourage customers to patronize your business.
