Dr. Kevin Lanighan is a fine established upper extremity orthopedic surgeon in east amherst. He has an outstanding professional manner, excellent surgical skills, is collegial and has a significant knowledge base well above the average orthopedic surgeon. The prior reviews that I have read on this site were obviously from disgruntled patients who have no insight into their disease or from competing orthopedic doctors who harbor animosity for this doctor's success.

A COMPLETE jerk. My primary physician referred me to him as she felt I might have Carpal Tunnel. I waited over a month to see him. When I finally got to see him, after I described my symptoms, he screamed at me to tell me that he couldn't help me because he didn't think I had carpal tunnel as my EMG results came back negative for nerve damage. I have had constant pain running through my hands and wrists that intensifies with long term use of hands. He insinuated that I was a liar, was completely condescending, and was insensitive towards my needs or feelings. Essentially I waited over a month to speak to him only to be yelled at, treated like crap and told that there was nothing he could do for me. MY doctor referred me to him; I did not go there by choice. I did not diagnose myself with carpal tunnel, my doctor did. I went to the appointment in hopes for a resolution and came out crying. I basically paid him to belittle me. I was and STILL am just trying to find a solution to my pain.
