It seemed suspicious that they didn't display their credentials anywhere. If they have credentials, they should make them more obvious. They were extremely argumentative and became angry very easily. I was trying to explain my situation and they just contradicted everything I was saying before I could finish. The office was easy enough to find. The psychiatrist refused to consider my concerns for my foster son, or report homicidal and suicidal thoughts with plans to me. Instead she wanted to teach me how to use a timer for a time out. I am a children's mental health therapist and an expert on time outs - my problem is that my foster son wants to kill me. She stated medication wasn't going to be helpful to him, but refused to consider removing any of the 800 mgs of poweful mood stabilizers prescribed to my 57 pound son. awful awful awful.
