As a parent I feel that I need to go in with a thick skin to these sessions because I may get, what I feel is a harsh critique of things I'm doing or not doing as a parent. Granted, I'm probably super-sensitive because if your kid is seeking help from a mental care professional as a parent you're probably fairly strung-out yourself! But, my child absolutely thrives on what Dr. Bennet tell her. Even now, after several years of consultations, she likes to touchbase twice a year just to ground herself. Dr. Bennett has had a very positive influence on the way my child faces life and handle situations that arise.
