RECORD YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH HIM ON YOUR PHONE. It's cheap insurance and I wish I could have done it myself. Here's why.

I feel that I need to warn people about how they could potentially be treated by Ron Apgar. I'll keep it short. We met for a total of 2 hours for a drug and alcohol and child abuse evaluation. My ex-wife had given quite the made-up sob story in court and extremely exaggerated a couple incidents where I spanked the kids on the butt with an open palm- nothing that would have left a mark after a few minutes. She also said that I drank way more than I did.

So in the custody hearing the judge said I needed to get these evaluations just to put everyone at ease about my ex's allegations. It was ridiculous in my mind to do this for a lie but I followed orders like a good soldier.

Where it gets even more ridiculous is that Ron Apgar is the only place in Colorado Springs that I could find that is able to give both of these evaluations. So I set my appointment and saw Ron. I was truthful with him about everything and sometimes slowed down or stopped talking so he could catch up with writing his shorthand. He's obviously getting very old and had me repeat several things and still got them wrong. But I felt that he was a warm guy and being fair in the conversations so I thought he would easily see the truth.

As a studied psychiatrist or psychologist, whichever he is, it's evident that he thinks he's very smart in the field and can psycho-analyze people from just a few sentences. This became apparent in the report, which I was flabbergasted to read. He took many of my statements and turned them around against me, he got the name of my ex-wife wrong even though I had said it dozens of times in the meetings and it was in the court orders, he got THE REASON FOR ME NEEDING THE EVALUATION completely backwards- I took my ex to court to get 50/50 custody but he claimed in his report that she took me to court to get my 50/50 taken away. There were a total of 18 mistakes, some bigger than others, so I wrote him a very polite email asking him to fix them, mainly because my ex-wife Angela is an incredibly suave manipulator and attempted to smear my name to our clients and friends when she ran off with one of our clients in an affair, which lead to the divorce. That's another story. But I wanted Ron to know he would be complicit if she attempted to use his false report to slander my name, as I am somewhat of a public figure.

Ron agreed to fix 6 things, but only her name and other benign mistakes- none of the important ones. So I feel I need to warn people to RECORD YOUR CONVERSATIONS WITH RON so you can prove if he tries to turn anything against you and say you said things you didn't. I hope this helps someone.
