Tracy worked in a hospital setting both in England and the US, discharge planning and dealing with the more difficult cases, gaining experience in crisis intervention, terminal illness and acute care.
Since being in the US, Tracy has also gained five years of experience in substance abuse in both outpatient and residential treatment settings, working with adolescence, and both men and women. During this time she began working with adolescence who were using following the loss of a loved one, and developed and ran a bereavement group within the residential facility.
Following this track in bereavement, Tracy spent the last three years working in hospice, primarily in the home setting. She has experience running groups for substance abuse, grief and loss and those dealing with terminal illness.
Tracy currently lives in the Fox Valley with her husband. Tracy enjoys travel, hiking, kayaking and reading.

Tracy Cannizzo, LCSW, CADC is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Tracy started in social work in New Zealand, working as an employment consultant with people with disabilities. Tracy also provided interpretation for deaf people which led to her running and rewriting a job club for the deaf. Tracy also worked with the blind, assisting them to determine then meet their goals and full potential. As a student Tracy set up a new organization for new parents of disabled children, to provide a structure for them to support each other. With this experience Tracy set up a transition form school to work program for disabled high school students, and wrote a funding proposal to the government which secured the funding to run this program.
