Brandon Pain Medicine is the pain medicine practice of Dr. Rafael Miguel. The practice is devoted to providing effective, evidence-based pain care in a compassionate manner. All types of pain are treated and every modality of pain relief is offered.

Dr. Miguel is presently in private practice and maintains an appointment at the Professor level with the Department of Neurology of USF, training Pain Medicine Fellows, tomorrows Pain Medicine Physicians. He is a Past-President of the Florida Society of Anesthesiologists, the present Vice-President of the Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Medical Director of the Pain Medicine Program of the Sarasota Memorial Healthcare System in Sarasota and Professor and Medical Director of the NOVA Southeastern University Anesthesiologist Assistants Program in Tampa, Florida.

He has pain medicine clinics in Bradenton, Brandon, Moffitt Cancer Center and Sarasota. All types of pain consults are handled, whether they be medical management and/or interventional. Pain management procedures are performed at the Brandon Ambulatory Surgery Center, the Institute for Advanced Medicine in Sarasota and at Heritage Harbor in Bradenton.

It was very easy to get an appointment. They have a very flexible schedule and get me in quickly every time. I was in awe at the level of service I received. They completely surpassed all my expectations and I will absolutely be going back. I've never had to worry about them being understaffed or not being able to help me right when I need it. They have a huge staff that's very knowledgeable and qualified. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All my questions were answered, and I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future.
