Mission Statement

The specific objectives and purposes of this corporation shall be to specialize in the advocacy and therapy for special needs children and adults, including those with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, and other mental and/or cognitive disabilities. To specialize in treatment of all children, adolescents and adults who may have addictions of any sort. My passion is ensuring that the all individual and families who care for loved ones with unique needs receive the education and support necessary to take full advantage of their rights and all available resources. My goal is to help enable each person to live up to his or her full potential.

Education I received a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Development, with an emphasis in Child Development and Education, from California State University East Bay (formerly Cal State Hayward) in 1981. I completed my Master of Science in Counseling and Mental Health at California State University East Bay, with an emphasis on working in a public school setting, in 1984. In 1985 I received a Pupil Personnel Credential from the State of California. I am currently enrolled in classes at Colorado School for Family Therapy where I will be acquiring several certifications including Child Family Investigator, and my LMFT.
Training I have five years previous experience working in a domestic violence shelter, and have first hand knowledge of the impact that domestic violence and the associated family dynamics have on women and their children. I have extensive experience in researching special education laws and programs, and advocating for persons with developmental disabilities. I have extensive experience working with the educational system to obtain services for special needs children, I have experience with the rights of children in the court system, and I have experience with the many unique challenges to parents and siblings of a special needs person.

I provide Individual and group counseling and education for those in or recovering from any type of addiction. Upon completion of my Certification as an Addictions counselor I will be doing dui/dwui education and therapy counseling/groups.



Child Family Investigator

Starting in august 2010 I will be a trained and licensed Child family investigator for the state of Colorado.
