About

Erin Lotz, LCSW

Erin Lotz, L.C.S.W., Licensed Clinical Social Worker, earned her Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Southern California, and is a well respected Psychotherapist who integrates traditional psychodynamic psychotherapy with progressive psychotherapeutic principles of Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Erin offers practical strategies to calming our “anxious minds”, facilitating greater self acceptance, freedom and inner peace.

Erin has worked individually with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, couples and families and has facilitated many process and educational skills training groups. My practice is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy; first understanding how your thoughts, feelings and behaviors affect one another and then how to apply the principles of Mindfulness, Emotional Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness and Distress Tolerance Skills. My goal is to empower you to make changes in your life and perspectives that decrease suffering and to assist you in creating a “life worth living”, to learn how to live life with awareness and participation.

I believe therapy involves all aspects of the self, emotional, psychological, physical and spiritual. My passion is working with individuals struggling with life to help support them on their path towards healing, recovery and growth. My training and clinical experiences have provided me with the skills to work successfully with people with chronic mood disorders: depression, anxiety bipolar, overwhelming emotional pain and impulsive mood driven behaviors. My own experience and personal growth gives me a valuable perspective.
