Visited AES early Sunday when our dog was experiencing difficulty breathing. We were the only ones in the waiting room but still waited at least 15-20 minutes. The attendants were pleasant but for some reason they almost seemed unsure of themselves, may be just bad vibes. The Dr. was also pleasant and did a quick exam and believed X-Rays were needed. We were quoted $480 for the X-Ray (our vet charges $95) since they must "send them out" to be evaluated. We opted not to have the X-Ray performed. We asked how much for the visit and were charged $125 (our vet charges $65, even on Sunday). If they had saved our dog I guess their services would have been priceless but we just felt we were being seriously taken advantage of due to the situation. It will be difficult to consider them in the future.

Took my 9 year old dog there having seizures for the first time EVER. My 2 year old son was with me scared to death about our dog Sasha. All they cared about was the $972 estimate and would barely even look at the dog until they were sure that we could afford it. We admitted the dog, paid the bill and 30 minutes later we got a phone call saying all their tests were done. They said they can nothing wrong with the dog. In the end, I payed $972 for 2 xrays and an in house blood test that took all of 30 minutes to do. When I discussed the bill they said "you didn't have to bring the dog here." These people use your pain and fear to commit "predatory billing." Take your chances waiting until your vet opens in the morning, these guys just want your "desperation money"
