With all due respect, neither Chuck or Esther have nutrition degrees from a reputable college. Neither is a dietitian. They started out with a supplement company in their house. Dietitians like to protect their reputation, experience clinically (hospitals, public health, counseling, academic training) and the art/science of recommending supplements. I took three years of chemistryincluding doctoral biochemistry, spent nine years in college, worked in hospitals across the nation including ICUs and Metabolic Programs and obtained a Certification in Diabetes Education. Recommending/prescribing supplements should be taken as seriously as prescribing medications as there may be side-effects, drug interactions, supplement/food interactions, biochemical individuality, different doses for different medical conditions under specific circumstances, some require liver testing such as nicotinic acid, the timing of supplement administration may be important . . . it is far too complicated for someone -even a MD,DO or chiropractor, depending on their training, to indulge in. It saddens me to list myself along with unqualified supplement stores, pyramid schemes, cosmetic stores. . . I actually am insulted - the dietitians on this list are healthcare practitioners - more qualified than a Physicians Assistant, some nurses, and as qualified as Pharmacists, Nurses with Advanced Training, Psychologists and a number of other healthcare practitioners. How dare a supplement store place themselves in the same category of those of us who are actually trained to be Registered Dietitian Nutritionists!!!!
