Made an appointment based on a referral. Office called to cancel less than 24 hours before the appointment due to mismanagement of the therapists schedule.

Due to unfortunate and unforseen circumstances I was forced to cancel my husband's appointment the following week last minute which I called an apologized for profusely and said I would be happy to resolve the issue.

They called back to reschedule which was done through text messages where(by the owners own admission whoever was answering was using speech to text) they said they could not do the following week. The messages were disjointed and unprofessional. It sounded like they couldn't book without there being multiple people. I thought maybe it was a simple typo and continued trying to book for 1pm after my husband reminded me of an existing appointment.

I recieved a picture message showing me a time slot that I did not ask for. At this point I did try to call only to get voicemail. Eventually the owner called and said he didn't typically handle appointments so oddly and that he didn't know who I was talking to although later said the person answering said they were using voice to text.

He reminded me I needed to have patience because he was waiving the copay for my husband's insurance . The message came off incredibly strong handed to which I told him that if handling the situation professionally was a problem I'd happily pay a copay somewhere else.

The owner then proceeded to tell me that he had to pay his therapist for my cancelled appointment a fee of 20 dollars which I said I'd pay and bid him good day

He then texted me with a picture of his cancellation policy stating it was 40 dollars and that he didn't actually want money from me because there's always strings attached which was further unprofessional.

Again I said I'd pay the fee since it was our cancellation regardless of the circumstances. He continued blaming his employees response and his own on my "bad day".

While I don't believe this is a direct reflection on the therapists themselves I do believe this company's business practices and professionalism need an overhaul.
