The facility, front porch and grounds are nice. But they claim to have lots of activities, but in reality, the van is often broken down and many activities end up being a movie on-site.

As for pushing people through, they're like a machine. There have high initial charges to get in - then a high price each month with lots of add-ons that inflate the cost even further. While quick to boast about their amenities, their promises fall flat. Beyond the promises and nice facility, there serve lackluster sandwiches for most meals costing likely $3 or less. The staff is only moderately attentive. And their responsiveness to residents is often hit and miss.

Even with explicit instructions on how to care for residents, they'll do as they wish up to and including visiting a hospitalized resident at their hospital and terrorize them by indicating they can't return to White Oaks after a brief hospitalization without checking with medical staff or informing family members whose phone numbers they have and simply choose not to call.

If you're well-off, can walk, generally take care of yourself and don't mind spending $3000-$3500/month to have a nice place to live in the heart of Cumming GA, this may work out just fine. If you care about a family member's well-being who can't fully take care of and fend for themselves, don't trust White Oaks to do as they promise. They certainly won't go the extra mile (unless they add a new fee to pay).

Since they can't be trusted to do what's right for the resident or the family, you're better off finding another place with genuinely caring management.
