I made an appointment yesterday for our new puppy that we rescued from PACC. I had not been to Cortaro Farm's Pet Hospital for years but they were listed as one of the Vet's to get a free visit with the adoption of your puppy. (PACC Provides a certificate).
Upon arrival I provided the certificate and filled out the paperwork, the Office Staff seemed nice.
When we were taken back and the Vet looked him over, listened to us and seemed friendly. She wanted to do blood work but never told us the cost. I did not think to much of it thinking it must be routine and under a 100.00 or they would have said something... I was completely wrong.

Upon going to leave I was given a bill of 288.30!!! I asked why and I was told it was 210.00 for the blood work, 53.00 for the visit and the medication was 25.30. I asked why the visit was not free and they told me it had been to long since I adopted the puppy from PACC. Why I was not told this upfront is beyond me.
However 210.00 in blood work that no one told me about is unacceptable, that's not a small fee that's something that they need to advise you of. I was under the impression they had to tell you the cost of any treatment upfront.

I can say that the lack of integrity and the inability to be honest and upfront has assured I will not only leave negative feedback everywhere I can but that I will never go back.

I waited 50 minutes for my animal to be seen. The prices are steep and on occasion, I felt there was an over-sell on lab/x-ray. Compared to my former vet from another state, I felt the exams were pretty superficial.
