I am a licensed psychotherapist with 30 years of experience treating people with food, weight, and body image concerns, specializing in binge eating and bulimia. I am passionate about my work. My therapeutic style is interactive, sensitive and compassionate. My work is based on establishing a relationship with my client that is safe, and one in which trust can grow.

I view symptoms as a way of calling attention to unrecognized needs and unexpressed feelings.

I see compulsive eating and purging as attempts to self-medicate anxiety and depression. Obsessing about food and weight functions as a distractions from life issues that are difficult to face.

I am a member of the Association of Professionals Treating Eating Disorders. I offer individual, group, family, and couples therapy. I treat adults and adolescents struggling with disordered eating and body image issues.
