I first went to Dr.Bruce to get a second opinion on a torn ACL and medial meniscus in my right knee. Upon first meeting the staff and then Dr.Bruce I pretty much knew this was the guy I wanted to go with, he was upbeat and you could tell he loved what he does. He then informed me that I was great candidate for the quad acl harvest (made famous by Dr.X) and that was exciting to hear, he would also be able to do a meniscus repair instead of the common meniscectomy. I had my surgery performed on August 7, 2015 with no issues or complications. After months of physical therapy here I am 5 and half months later just getting a release from Dr.Bruce and I am good as new! Thanks so much to all the staff at University Orthopedics you have been so gracious and I am especially thankful to Dr.Bruce for his outstanding work!

He blamed him not checking out and possibly repairing my crushed nerve after emergency femur surgery on me... as he was telling me my leg would be paralyzed for months and possibly forever. In the E.R., I had repeatedly told him that my leg was on fire all the way down to my toe and that my knee felt to have been blown. That was due to the damaged nerve and a torn meniscus. He decided not to act on it.

I again, repeatedly told him about severe knee pain throughout several visits for the year following my accident. He never once acted on it until a year later when he told me that my meniscus was likely torn and I needed additional surgery. Again... something that could have been taken care of during the initial surgery or at least soon after.

He THEN refused to perform surgery to remove my plate and repair the torn meniscus until I had paid my balance off in full despite the set up payment plan that I was not delinquent on and despite the fact that both new surgeries would be completely covered by insurance.

He's rude and obviously not great at finance.

DO NOT GO TO HIM!

His PT staff are absolutely wonderful though. I recommend the wholeheartedly.

Just got off the phone with his office manager who is refusing to send my medical records over to my new surgeon for at least three days because she doesn't have time.
