Craig Ratner, DMD

Dr. Craig Ratner graduated from Union College with a B.S. degree in Biology/Computer Science. In 1992, he graduated from the New Jersey Dental School with a DMD degree. He continued his post-doctoral training at Staten Island University Hospital completing two years of residency including one as chief resident.

Dr. Ratner is a highly regarded participant in all levels of the profession. On the local level, he has served on the Board of the Second District Dental Society since 2000. In that time, he has served as Trustee as well as every position on the ladder. Currently, he is Editor of the SDDS Bulletin – the society’s monthly publication. On the state level, Dr. Ratner currently serves on the Board of Governors of the New York State Dental Association, the association’s governing body. A position he has held for the past three years. On the national level, Dr. Ratner is a committed member of the American Dental Association, serving as an Alternate Delegate to the ADA’s House of Delegates. His current positions are products of his past service. He has served on numerous New York State Dental Association councils including the Councils on Dental Practice and Chemical Dependency. He is a Past President of the Richmond County Dental Society, SDDS’s branch society. He served on the Board of the RCDS from 1994 through 2002.

Dr. Ratner is also currently an active member of the International Academy of Comprehensive Aesthetics(IACA), the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry(AACD), the American Academy of Implant Dentistry(AAID), the Academy of General Dentistry and the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity(AO).

A dedication to continued education and the education of others has been a hallmark of Dr. Ratner’s career. He takes countless hours of continuing education courses every year. He has proudly earned graduate status at the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies(LVI) completing their core curriculum. Dr. Ratner was on the clinical staff at Staten Island University Hospital serving also as their Director of Continuing Education. Currently, he lectures to other dentists on implant and esthetic dentistry as well as regulatory compliance for the dental office.

His dedication to his profession has been rewarded with multiple awards and recognitions. Among them are fellowships in the Academy of General Dentistry, the International College of Dentists and the American College of Dentists.

Dr. Craig Ratner maintains a successful dental practice in the Tottenville section of Staten Island concentrating on esthetic, rehabilitative, and implant dentistry.

A portrait of Dr. Ratner would not be complete without mentioning his family. His high school sweetheart, Amy, is now his wife of 17 years. They have two wonderful children Ben, 13 and Lindsay, 11.

This dr could care less about you smile but the money in his pocket..I had an infection that was a parasite bug would not help he. I've been a patient for 12 years. completely turned me away. Please stay away and beware.
