It is apparent that Dr. Monsul is not accustomed to working with children and their parents or having his actions questioned. We were referred to him by a dermatologist for a small cyst on my daughter's eyelid. When I said I thought that it appeared to be different than a "stye" he remarked that it probably was a chalazion or as you laymen call it a sty. He then spent several minutes looking at her right eye and making comments to the nurse using complicated medical terminology which I understood, unfortunately my daughter did not and it was scaring her. So I pointed out to him that the problem was with the left eye. His reaction was quick, unwarranted and quite defensive. He told me he was aware where the problem was and that if i wanted to do his job he would step out of the way. He went on to inform me that he did not have to explain his methods or procedures to me. I calmly took his chastisement for the sake of my daughter and finished the appointment. In dictating the letter to my daughter's primary physician, he had to stop several times in order to obtain the correct information. We will NOT be returning for the follow up visit.

They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places. They are an absolute expert in the field. I would never feel unsafe or apprehensive in their care. They've never been late to any of my appointments. I've even showed up early sometimes and they've always been ready and prepared. They made sure every single question I had was answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered.
