Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I was born into a family of physicians and ministers. It became important to me to go into a helping profession. As I watched my family members help others, I decided that a career in medicine was a way that I, too, could serve my community and use my talents. What I want my patients to know about me: I chose the right profession! I am very happy to be an OB/GYN and enjoy all aspects of the field. The joy of being present for the birth of a new baby still thrills me. Surgery provides an instant gratification that a problem is being solved.
