Every time I had an appointment I would be taken back later then scheduled, and not seen for quite a bit. One time I even waited an extra HOUR in the chair before the dentist game to see me! However, he'd done good work before so I was willing to wait. My main issue with the dentist and his assistants is that they NEVER explained to me what was going on. I had gone in for a crown and the first temporary wouldn't stay on for more then an 8 hour span, and I had to leave town to take care of my mother, but was returning less then a week after my crown was ready. I went in, and the crown didn't fit. I think this was a bad temporary and then a bad crown as well. The girl was pretty new, so it happens. I went back a MONTH later to get another crown put on (this one has stayed on) which went fine. However as I am leaving and thinking I am going to schedule my next appointment, I was pulled into the finance office. As it turns out the dentist wanted to do a GOLD crown which cost more then what I prepaid for in October (we are now in January). First, I didn't want a gold crown, I was willing to just keep my temporary if he didn't want to do a regular one. Second, why didn't he talk to me about this? or even bring it up? Instead I had recalled him using the term "GC" and I know now what it meant. I think it would have been more respectful to explain this to me in the chair. Well, just because I didn't want to do a gold crown the dentist has asked me to see someone else. This is fine with me seeing as how I don't want to see anyone that can't tell me that I might need something different then what I am in there for and it WILL cost me an extra $200 over the $323 I have already paid for it! There was one other issue involving the fact that we were told that "laughing gas" was covered under our insurance. We weren't told until after it was already done that it didn't. So that was another $75 on top of the $200 they were asking for in that one appointment. I find it pretty disrespectful to the patient myself. If you don't mind these issues, the office is nice and the desk staff friendly. You will notice he doesn't hire "other then perfect" FEMALES though...but he is calm and does good work. He just sends out the bad news and letters through his staff hiding behind them.
