None of these reviews let me say what I want to say. Dr. Cooper made bad decisions regarding my child's orthodontic care. We went through 2 grueling years during which he over-corrected the bite, then had to undo that and went too far the other way, resulting in my child's teeth being in the same position / condition that they had been 2 years earlier (the same overbite) after almost 2 years of wearing braces. He then insinuated that my child had not done what he had asked him to in terms of wearing rubber bands and that he had obviously worn the rubber bands too much, resulting in the over-correction. This was simply not true. He also insinuated that my child had changed his jaw position when his bite was being checked, thus resulting in an improper evaluation and treatment decision. In other words, the negative results of treatment were never the professional doctor's fault, it was always the child's fault. Dr. Cooper never took any credit for making bad choices in our care. Then, after these 2 years of treatment, he recommended pulling teeth to get the correction done faster than another 2 years of braces. We went to get a second opinion from another orthodontist before pulling teeth, and this orthodontist did not recommend pulling teeth. He also said that this was unfortunately, the second patient he had seen in several months coming to him from Dr. Cooper with the exact same condition. We chose to switch to the second orthodontist and he professionally treated my child and her teeth were corrected in a matter of about 10 months. I would not recommend Dr. Coopers services to anyone. BEWARE! Don't be one of the unfortunate children who have had this experience.
