The denist is very qualified, and has fantastic creditual, but he is rude and condesending. When he found out the I administred my own vaccines, his responce was are you a Vet? Very rude, of course I am not a vet, but vaccines are sold to the public to admistrater, so if he has a problem with that then I suggest he goes to the goverment to stop the ability of the public to admidaster vaccines to there animals.
He gave me a tour of his facility, and he examined two of my dogs at a cost of 90.00 per dog + $25.00 per dog office visit + $8 for a polorad picture of dogs teeth, so total cost was 246.00. I was told on the phone that it would be $90.00 per dog for examination, I was not told that I would be charged $25.00 per dog for an office visit, when my dogs shared a room.
When I asked for a written plan I was told I could not have until I had the work done by him and paid in full. Now when I go to a denist I always get a written plan of what work will be done and the cost per tooth. When I got home and called my husband to tell him of the work needed on dogs, I told him I didn't have a written statement as the vet refused to give me one, he asked me to call and find out why I paid $246.00 and have nothing to show for it, where was the written examin. I called Dr. Carpone and asked him for a written statement and he stated were you not here I told you what you need done, if I have to do a written statement I will have to charge you more, at the point I just hung up.

This is the first time in my life I have ever paid for a service not completly rendered. So before you see the vet when you check in verify all charges and if they are different then what was told to you, refuse payment.
I believe the reason for the change in price is because I told the Dr. that I had to discuss the plan with my husband that is why I wanted a written treatment plan. I think whoever schedule blocked off time for the procedure, not taking in to account that I might want to consider the cost before I went ahead with treatment plan, I know that the Dr. was angry about that block of time, because he yelled at his assistant to never schedule that way again, but that is not my fault, this Dr. wanted over $3200.00 to extract 6 teeth on one dog and 2 on the other + cleaning. I felt that before I drop $3200.00 I should a least consult my husband. So I will now have to find another Vet, who is not condeseding and rude.
