I have regular dental insurance through Guardian from my company. It covers the basic cleaning, xrays, etc.

On my first visit for a cleaning, I was having a casual talk with the dentist. He was asking about my careers, schools, etc. Basically just having a casual conversation. Part of the conversations, he told me to make sure I brush twice a day. At the end of the visit, I was told to pay a $30 Dental Education fee b/c that was not covered under my insurance. I was told I was covered fully for the visit. Completely shocked that I was asked to pay $30 for a simple piece of advice. Felt cheated and ended up paying.

I figured next time I visit this dentist, I will ask him not to provide his "dental education" and that should be fine. Little did I know it would be almost impossible to schedule an appointment. I am flexible on my work schedule and can take off easily anytime and my wife works from home most of the time and can easily scheduled for anytime to come in for a cleaning. We attempted to schedule an appointment. Next closest appointment was 1.5 months away! This was for a simple cleaning. We decided to book the appointment anyway.

Fastforward to one week prior to the appointment, we get a call from the dental office saying they need to reschedule because both their dentist and hygenist decided to go back to school. The next available appointment won't be for another month. My wife expressed her disappointment and they still cannot accomodate a better time. I called them back to express my disappointment and ended up getting hang up.

There is nothing special or great about this place that you need to wait 2-3 months for a freaking appointment and they're sneaky with the charge on that dental education crap. They are not considerate of their patients and think they can reschedule everyone at will like that. There's many dentists around the area. AVOID this place.
