I, too, had the misfortune of seeing Dr. Liss for my seizures. I was diagnoised with epilepsy (petit mal -the blank stare type) and I actually requested my family doctor send me a referal to him because of a friends reference. He prescribed meds and things started to go haywire. I began to have Grand Mal seizures (the really bad ones). Up until this point, I've only had 2 of this type of seizure my entire life (diagnoise at 2 years old, in my 40's at this time). He would change the meds. Same thing. Grand mal. It was happening way too often. On my last appt. with him I asked him, "Dr. Liss, don't you think we need to get a grip on these Grand Mal's, the frequency has got to be affecting my brain". He wrote me another prescription. I walked out to the car, ripped up the prescription and told my husband "No more". I went back to my Family doctor and asked for another referral and she asked my if I minded telling her why. Absolutely not. Dr. Liss may be a nice guy but he's not helping me. My doctor sent me to Dr. Sidphura who looked at the pills Dr. Liss was giving me, told me to stop taking everything. He gave me a prescription for 2 pill and I've seizure free since on under Dr. Sidphura's care.
