I bring my (now) 9 Month Old son to Gales Ferry Pediatrics in Old Saybrook, CT. At the time, this was about 5 months ago, I didn't care which doctor my son was seeing. Different doctors were there every day and I just picked the day that was best for me to get there. Well, that day I happened to get Dr. Esposito.

Just so you know, I'm a very well off person as far as finances go. With me being only 21 years old, my husband and I do quite well. However, as well off as we are, my mother has still drilled it into my head to save money where you can. So when I saw that Walmart brand formula gave you twice as much for half the price as GoodStart I decided to go ahead and ask this doctor it would be ok to switch my son over.

Dr. Esposito was appearing to be a very grumpy man. And really, who can be laughed at by a little baby and not even crack a smile? He just had this permanent frown on his face.

So when I proceeded to ask if it would be ok to switch his formulas, without a second thought he said, 'You're on WIC aren't you? You have to get GoodStart if you're on WIC.'

I was infuriated that someone, a professional no less, make such an assumption. Perhaps it was because I'm so young and look a bit unconventional. However, I thought it was very forward and extremely rude regardless.
