About

Robert Whitman, LPC,MA,CACIII

Just a little about my background. I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1986. I then went on to earn my Master's in Psychology from Regis University, where I graduated from the counseling program with Honours - Magna Cum Laude - and later I earned my license as a professional counselor. Since that time, I've been successfully counseling adults and adolescents as either couples and or individuals, with a variety of issues and disorders.

Over those years I've had the privilege of working and supervising in everything from in-patient to out-patient settings. In my role as Clinical Supervisor I was at times in the unique position to be able to develop novel approaches to treating different disorders. One of the programs I developed was so successful that is now in use across the nation and is recognized as the standard of treatment for the population for which it was designed. Now I have the privilege of bringing all of my expertise and years of experience to my private practice of well over a decade.

There is hope.

Don't waste your time with this person. His goal is to keep the peace, not to solve problems. I went to him in 2009 because my marriage with my wife was at a breaking point. For $3,500 for 8 sessions, I endured listening as he told me that men can have two emotions: anger or joy, but only when it applies to their sports team. I found no common ground with my ex-wife. They guy didn't counsel but cajoled, covered and consoled. It's possible to be an abused husband, but don't look to this jackass for help.

To make matters worse, I ended up checking myself into a mental health facility shortly after getting marriage counseling with him. He offered to give me a psychological exam and then refused to give me the results, saying "I don't believe these can be accurate."

This man is a criminal at best.
