Dr. Andrew McIntosh is a fellowship-trained Child Neurologist and is highly skilled in
behavioral/developmental disorders (including early autistic spectrum diagnosis) and
general child neurology.

After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from California State
University at Long Beach, Dr. McIntosh earned a Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.) degree from
Ponce School of Medicine. He then went on to a Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine
residency and General Neurology internship at the University of California, Irvine. He
received further sub-specialty training in Child Neurology also at the University of California,
Irvine. This training earned him board-eligibility in Neurology with Special Competency in
Child Neurology from The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as well as
board-eligibility in Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine from The American Board of Pediatrics.

During his sub-specialty training in Child Neurology, Dr. Andrew McIntosh received
advanced education and experience in autism, autistic spectrum diagnosis, Asperger's
disorder, ADHD testing and other behavioral/developmental disorders. His research
interests have focused on early autistic spectrum diagnosis as well as strokes in young
people. He has a thorough understanding of complimentary and alternative medicine
especially as related to pediatric neurological problems and childhood migraine treatment.
He has been awarded membership in The American Academy of Neurology, The Child
Neurology Society and The American Academy of Pediatrics.
